About Me

Much of my professional life has been centered around supporting families during some of the most vulnerable and transformative moments of their lives. I am the owner of Childbirth Kingston and co-founder of the Doula Support Foundation, where my work has focused on education, advocacy, community support, and helping people navigate and feel Informed through complex systems with confidence and dignity.

Those experiences shaped how I see community, sustainability, and the importance of caring for people across all stages of life. This work has also given me a strong appreciation for the relationship between healthy and connected communities, environmental stewardship, and resilient local systems/supports.

Although I do not come from a traditional political background, I believe the skills I bring are deeply relevant to the challenges communities are facing today.

What I bring to City Hall:

Community Resilience &
Long-Term Thinking

My background in Advocacy, and caring for families within one of the most vulnerable stages, has strengthened my belief that local government plays an important role in protecting quality of life. The choices made by our district of Pittsburg, and our City of Kingston, have real power to help communities adapt to larger social, economic, and environmental challenges.

I hope to bring a practical, compassionate, and community-focused perspective to City Hall. One that is rooted in collaboration, informed decision-making, and building on the many strengths Kingston and Pittsburgh already have!

Collaboration &
Constructive Leadership

I am quite comfortable working with people who hold different needs, priorities, and perspectives than my own, and helping conversations move forward respectfully and productively. Much of my work involves navigating emotionally charged situations with professionalism, empathy and calm.

In the current political and social environment of today, I believe these skills are important for thoughtful leadership, collaboration, and finding practical solutions within the power of our own local government.

Advocacy & Communication

My work as a Doula has taught me how to listen carefully, communicate clearly, and advocate effectively for people navigating big, complex systems. I understand the importance of ensuring people feel informed, respected, and heard. This is especially true when these decisions directly affect their lives, families, and neighbors. At City Hall, I would bring that same commitment to transparency, and making sure my community feels Informed through engagement.
